Dear Colleagues!
On behalf of the State Duma Committee on Construction and Land Relations let me welcome the participants of the XIV International Road Builders Forum “Dorkomexpo”.
Recently the field of public road system was full of events. The Federal Target Program “Development of the Transport System of Russia (2010-2015)” is implementing, the Transport Strategy till the year 2030 is approved.
The Public Campaign “Russian Roads”, which is vested with a wide range of powers, including implementation of building owner functions and participation in investment projects, is established for purposes of improving the road management system and introduction of new, competitive mechanisms.
Great importance to promotion of road system has the Automobile Law, which legislated the principle of normative financing of road maintenance, and also expanded opportunities for attracting private investments into road construction.
At the present time the State Duma is considering separate legislative initiatives oriented to the further development of the road network. However, the taken measures are not comprehensive, and the apparent problems have already emerged.
Development of modern transport infrastructure, creating of conditions for the effective work of construction industry, implementation of productive capacity are able to facilitate to the problem solving.
I expect, that the XIV International Road Builders Forum "Dorkomexpo” will become the platform for sharing experiences, achievements, technologies in the field of building industry
and transport infrastructure.

Realization of the Russian programs for construction of the high quality federal roads, reconstruction and maintenance of the existing roads providing access to the country resources require urgent steps for the advance development of the construction, road and municipal engineering. A huge work for liquidation of the lack of good roads in agricultural districts is to be done. In these conditions roads are powerful part of Russia economy. New technologies of construction and roads maintenance implementation put the problem of the technical re-equipment of the construction, road and municipal industry enterprises of the federal and regional level.
The work for organization and improvement of manufacture, disbursement of new machinery and equipment is one of the prior directions of the Manufacturers of the Road Construction Machinery Union activity.

For Moscow, as well as for our country, road building and transport infrastructure development is the concern of current interest. In Moscow, which is the largest country’s traffic centre, the problems of city traffic are enforced by intensity of a car stream, which crucially exceed the key figures of other regions. Implementation of tasks on public road system development, thoroughfare capacity growth, traffic safety imposes huge liability on Moscow road builders, and requires up-to-date, substandard, and sometimes unique organizational and engineering solutions.
“Dorkomexpo” introduces modern technologies, materials, machinery and equipment of russian and foreign companies, which draw attention of professionals.
